summer vacation part 2 (alaska)

we set sail on the [crown princess] saturday june 27th
with 20 family members (21 including linc)

we spent all day saturday exploring the ship.
we discovered our room had bunk beds that folded out of the wall.

movies by the pool was probably our favorite part. cant you tell?

our room was tiny but fun.

it had new electronics we had never seen before.

breakfast with a great view

snoozin in a king bed.
we were at sea for 36 hours before arriving in beautiful juneau, alaska (with aunt molly)

we gathered up the clan of 21 family crew members, and went whale watching.

we got really lucky and saw a ton of humpback whales. whale tails are so cool.

we also saw some lazy sea lions.

next stop: skagway, alaska
this town looked like it had been preserved since the gold rush.
choo choo trains and saloons.

before heading on the train, we hung out by a little creek. linc collected leaves, and somehow managed to fall into the freezing lake. luckily we had a change of clothes, and then all aboard!

i highly recommend taking a ride on the [the white pass & yukon railway]

you have the option of sitting in a seat, or checking out the beautiful scenery from the balcony

this guy didn't make it for the whole 3 hour ride. sleepy eyes.

pictures don't even do it justice. alaska is so damn beautiful.

next stop was glacier bay. the cruise sailed by these gorgeous glaciers.
some hidden in the mountains, others pushed their way to the edge.

two nights on the cruise, we had formal night, we got all fancy and had dinner together.

these are my beautiful grandparents (linc's great grandparents),
celebrating their 60th anniversary, and made this trip possible.
for most of the cruise you could see land. it was this for days. not a bad view.

my little explorer. this stroller saved our lives. lots of walking, and linc did lots of chilling.
thanks [uppababy]
ketchikan, alaska...cute fisherman town.  i really loved this place. i stopped into [caribou creek] a cute little shop that sells handmade items and unique jewelry. i got to see some beautiful ladies, transplanted from the florida keys. i used to play soccer with them in middle school.
they have such a cool set up, and one of them happens to be the owner of this awesome shop.
i was so happy i got to see their faces it had been way too long!

and then some more creek playing, but luckily no swimming this time.

back to the boat and back to the pool

last day at sea, this little boy got sick.

bye bye pacific ocean. it was a blast!
