cribs / lincoln & julius' big boy shared room

this is an update from the previous [shared room post] - julius upgraded from a crib!
linc & jules have loved sharing a room. i went with a very basic naturey theme, and of course lincoln has his flare with his superhero sheets. their room is filled with memories and lots of love; trees from [julius' first birthday], their [growth chart], handmade gifts from friends, favorite books, blocks with their birth year.. etc.

living in the city, you dont get to be picky with bedroom size. i've been inspired by all the tiny houses people are living in. its amazing how many options you have for such a little space.

other than the crib being gone, i've updated their closet to be a play area with a firetruck house and bins of brio train tracks. i plan on posting their play/ work space next week! since lincoln is in montessori, he is very into "doing work" and i've created a workspace alongside my studio for the boys to "work" with me. stay tuned :)

greyboy handmade & greyboy vintage shops

summer series coming soon....

greyboy handmade shop: childhood, nostalgia, city aspects, gender neutral street style

i blame art school for subconsciously making everything a concept and pushing ideas to a specific point and reason. greyboy started 3 years ago as a hobby. making my son handmade clothes. once i started i couldn't turn it off and it has now developed into its own style. all designs are hand-drawn & handprinted (mostly screen printed but some are hand painted) raising my kids in the city has been my biggest inspiration. they already seem to have a sense of style and are aware of all their city surroundings. we have a lot of fun items to share. stay tuned!
new instagram: @greyboyshop with have all the sneak peaks. summer series is coming soon :)

greyboy vintage: sprouted from having a creative block. its a great way to turn my mind off and get into a different realm. almost like getting lost in a good book. thrift stores are my therapy. escaping into the past to find decades of fashion designs. there is nothing better than that special find. you didn't know what you were looking for until you found it. that high drives me to then create more. so basically my life is creating and finding and then creating more.

small shopper / summer in the city

[the red balloon co]
1940 n damen ave, chicago (bucktown)
5407 n clark st, chicago (andersonville)

here you will find, vintage visual displays and clothes that lay on and hang from antique furniture. the red balloon sells everything you need for a newborn up to age 16. clothes, shoes, accessories, an amazing book selection, vintage furniture, vintage toys, games.. etc. my favorite part about the red balloon is their amazing selection of boys clothes. its equally as large as their girl clothes.. which is a huge deal for mama's with sons! they also sell [city threads], who makes an awesome [initial tee] that is only sold at the red balloon. they take it back old school but are also on top of all the new trends.

head over their bucktown location today for a sidewalk chalk contest!

[egg baby - swim trunk] ahh! i've been looking for a plain but cute bathing suit for lincoln for a while now. i love the european look haha. and we got to try these out at the beach. egg baby has been a favorite of mine for a while now, and luckily red balloon is always carrying them!
