party time / baby sprinkle fiesta

a friend of mine, [amanda] threw this awesome fiesta themed baby shower yesterday, for a another friend and her little boy on the way. we had a lot of fun setting up. there was so much delicious mexican food, margaritas, and cake! we used a lot of left over plasticware, plates, containers, etc. from previous parties since there were so many fun colors. [michele] brought over triangle garland made from straws. tissue crafts are easy and affordable, a few yarn pom poms, and construction paper cut outs, and you got yourself a fiesta!

i found a group of moms who are on baby #2 also, well most have already had them and are out in the world being cute and tiny. these lovely ladies throw "sprinkles" instead of a "baby shower", because it's the second baby and most of us need nothing as far as baby gear. its a great excuse to get a bunch of ladies together for food and drinks. actually come to think about it, i might be one of the last ones pregnant... until my "moms' of one" join the club! #babyfeverisreal

i had the pleasure of photographing a friend's sweet little baby boy, when he was only a few days old.

cribs / sharing a room with baby

making room for another person in your family can be super exciting.. but living in the city has its limitations on space. we are lucky enough to have a three bedroom apartment. but unlucky in the sense that our family is far far away. so it is important to us to keep a comfortable space for our out of town family.

it will be easier, since we will have two boys, to have them share a room down the road. but for now, probably for the first year until they are both sleeping better, we moved some furniture around in our room and we are creating a little corner for our baby boy #2. we are going to keep it simple since our bedroom is tiny. (so tiny, we only have one night stand) but down the road if we live here or a different house, the boys will help us design an awesome room to co-habitat together. check out lincoln's room [here], although we have updated it again, with a big boy toddler bed. new post coming soon...

currently we share our room with the dog, and lincoln usually around 2am he comes wandering in for snuggles. so welcoming another small body isn't going to make much a difference in this little room.

new news...

we found out super exciting news yesterday.. we are expecting another baby boy this fall.

i am super proud of this big brother. and looking forward to our family of four.

lincoln's shirt was made at an awesome local t-shirt shop called [the t-shirt deli] they make custom designed shirts and serve them up like sandwiches at a deli with some chips. 

love making excuses to go to the t-shirt deli!

lincoln is so in love with prince. he now says "oggie" and every morning when he wakes up he looks for prince. he give him tons and tons of kisses. its a pretty amazing bond forming. prince has become a lot more patient with lincoln. before he would walk away if lincoln was annoying him. but now when lincoln pokes him in the eye or pulls his lips he just lays there and takes it happily. i cannot wait  / am hoping for prince and lincoln to sleep together at night. not only will it be the cutest thing ever.. both will be out of our bed :) i feel lucky that my son is being raised alongside such a loving oggie.

the dots have come to an end. and now we have a ONE YEAR OLD !!!
